This was started originally by good ol' George Knight back on Spill, then followed by Joong, and if the site's down for good, then I think it good we carry that tradition over here. In a nutshell: this is a night for people from the site, past and current, to get together on a single night and enjoy each other's company through gaming; whether it be an online "board" game or a video game. Ideas and suggestions for games (I'm hoping one of these nights, we figure out how to play a DnD campaign!) are always welcome, and the more; the merrier! Game nights are typically held on Saturdays (they seem the most convenient days), around 7/8pm CST but depending on how many people are interested and available, this is always subject to change. If need be, those available with the better/best connection, please host. With that said, let's get the ball rolling! Updated play dates will be posted here: UPDATE: 01/25/2014:
Due to some scheduling conflicts, Game Night will be hosted over both Saturday and Sunday at around 7/8pm CST. The game is Cards Against Humanity Online and info is as follows: Cards Against Humanity
As always, keep an eye on the comments below for more updates.

I really like the idea of doing something more traditional like a board game, but for now, I'm totally up for some Mann Co. for tomorrow.

Really not a fan of PvP; I think we should set up for co-op games as well, say something like an F2P MMO or a game that just has coop.

We take down waves upon waves of enemies in a 6 player team group. I'm up for the idea of a F2P MMO, Mortal online being one of my suggestions.

I'd personally suggest something like Warframe or Marvel Heroes for a F2P MMO; I've had significant trouble with the Mortal Online client (and it not running), and I like to think I'm not the only prospective player with this problem.

We did Warframe early on and I wasn't all too crazy about it myself (found it a bit tedious) but if people are wanting to play it some night, I'll load it up on Steam.

I'll be back home this Saturday and probably won't do any more for the next few months, so I will defiantly be available with enough advance notice.

Alright you fucks, I'm going to be snowed in this weekend. That means I've got no excuses for missing a game night. The time is right, so if nobody else any objections then let's do this shit. EDIT: If we're still looking for a game to try, I found this crazy animu third person shooter that's free to play. I've played it a few times, and it's fun enough with a decent group. (Granted, it's hard to master.) More importantly, it's pretty light as far as system requirements are concerned. Check it out, let me know what you think. s4league.com/EDIT 2: I also think we should finally decide on a preferred VOIP program, if everyone's cool with that.

I've downloaded S4 League just now and given it a go; from my experiences, as well as what I've read, the game really seems geared towards pay-to-win, to a point where anybody using paid items are completely heads, shoulders and waists above the competition.
There are a number of free-to-play games that are relatively system non-intensive; on Steam alone, there's Ragnarok Online, Elsword, Mabinogi, Continent of the Ninth Seal, Pandora Saga and Spiral Knights. Granted, I haven't played most of them, so I can't tell if they're pay-to-win, but at least it's unlikely they'll be so unbalanced that the devs are telling the player base that, if they want to compete with players with paid items, they should buy the same items themselves.
I'm down for game night, but we really should find a game that's balanced for free and paid players, if we're going the route of free-to-play.

Eh, we've played Free-to-play/pay-to-win type games before; it's not so much what we're playing as long as we got people to play with.
S4League sounds alright. Anyone have any other suggestions?

So is this decided or shall I wait some more before updating this?

So is this decided or shall I wait some more before updating this? Pay to win shouldn't be an issue since we can probably just play in a lobby with each other. Unless anyone has any better ideas for tomorrow night, then I'd say it's a lock.

Tonight is, apparently, the night. I'll log on steam when I get off work, and we can discuss deets.
