I'm using HTML5 for Youtube videos, it loads every single video in whatever resolution and size I tell it to. It's also nice change from how terrible adobe flash runs since it actually loads full videos now, and when I fast forward to a part it doesn't need to reload the video, best of all there's no stuttering in video playback either. It's still not perfect though. I really do wish Youtube gets some competition though, because they're in a position where they feel that they can do whatever they want and everyone will eat that shit up, like it or not. If they continue to provide a shitty service, then eventually something else will swoop in and take all of it's business. Myspace is a good example of this. That would be glorious.

I sincerely hope that happens. Given of course that said company isn't as shitty as Youtube. What else is there? I know of Vimeo and Dailymotion and I only visit those because Youtube takes most of the flack of all this copyright nonsense, while the other two can upload almost whatever the fuck they want.

Hell, you can upload softcore porn on Dailymotion. The French don't give a shit for the most part.

That last one is why I also suggest Youtube HD for Firefox; why in fuck's name does Youtube start playing in the lowest definition possible on a broadband connection? Okay, easy assumption is to reduce server loads, but other than that because they're cheeky cunts who want you to stop the video 10 seconds in to reset the definition. Now all they need is one to turn that clusterfuck of web design into something semi-navigable. Is there a plugin/addon or some fix to force Firefox to only use HTML5 for Youtube? Flash in general always crashes in Firefox and eats up more memory than a kid in fat camp locked in a room made out of Twinkies... which crashes the bloody browser. The collective web needs to suck it up and admit that Adobe has permanently dropped the ball with Flash as a content medium and push for a major shift. It's pretty fucking bad that Google's own Android isn't even supported now with Flash! How in the fuck do they expect you to use their "smart"phones to watch anything if the #1 means is outright unsupported outside of a side-download. And that's something that they *advise you not to do!!!* Yeah, typical Google, ya bastards. Anyhow, I'm still searching for a way to lower the bass on Firefox and Chrome because podcasts sometimes hit these bass notes when someone's too close to the mic or something. My new sound system doesn't just drop the bass; it throws it on the floor and tells Zeus to fuck his own face. Someone bumping a table sounds like something exploded in the basement. On the plus side, I was listening to Morrowind's soundtrack and it truly brings the word "epic" back from the overuse grave it was cemented in. That's the problem because normally you'd half expect someone like Google to come up with something. Except they've been too busy pissing on their little "Don't Be Evil" line of crock. Specifically in terms of copyright, I feel that it should be a responsibility of the content holders in cases of large media conglomerates and the like who are partially at fault for this content ID mess. It's one thing to protect smaller parties, but these companies are large and far reaching enough that I think they can afford to also take on more of a burden and have some damn accountability. They're the only ones who ever come out in copyright suits, anyway, so if they have the inherent power, they shouldn't be given a golden platter of options that makes it too easy and overly-efficient for merely *possible* violations to be flagged. Then you have the other end where Google/Tube is being downright complacent and just letting the false flagging be abused to no end while never addressing the deeply flawed lie of "justice" they uphold. 4 seconds of claimed material in your 20 minute video? Welp, sorry kiddo! All $100 of the money should go to that pissant 4 second clip's owner instead. That's not copy protection, that's blatantly back-asswards. Yeah, copyright is contentious, but at the same time I think that the companies are doing alright so I'd take the legally loosey-goosey old Youtube any day. For fun though, you want worse? My bets would be on Microsoft, "Let's buy Tumblr!*" Yahoo, and Facebook would accomplish that with glee. *I don't know much about Tumblr, but I stay the fuck off Tumblr, that's for certain. As for porn, if we go by the definition of "anything that isn't art," then I think it's safe to say that 99% of Youtube is the filthiest smut available.

Oh don't talk to me about false flagging. One of my latest videos on YouTube fell victim to a false flag attack. I received a message from YouTube telling me my video was taken down for 'inappropriate content' and violated the Community Guidelines. Of course, they didn't tell me what was 'inappropriate' about the video or how it violated the Community Guidelines. So I re-read the Guidelines and found that my video didn't violate them in ANY way. So I appealed the strike and pointed out these facts to them, and of course they didn't care and upheld the strike against me, which I will be stuck with for the next six months. Fuck you, YouTube.

What else is there? I know of Vimeo and Dailymotion and I only visit those because Youtube takes most of the flack of all this copyright nonsense, while the other two can upload almost whatever the fuck they want. Both of them lack that mainstream appeal that's necessary for content producers. The biggest incentive towards posting a video on Youtube instead of Vimeo is both the accessibility and wide audience appeal. Everything I've heard about Vimeo sounds cool, but they really need to push the marketing for it or add in something new that brings in a huge audience in order to have people make the switch. Is there a plugin/addon or some fix to force Firefox to only use HTML5 for Youtube? Flash in general always crashes in Firefox and eats up more memory than a kid in fat camp locked in a room made out of Twinkies... which crashes the bloody browser. There is, a few actually, I'm using one called Youtube ALL HTML5. But like I said, it's not perfect. It doesn't work outside of YT, sometimes videos in playlist will show with an error (easily solved by clicking the HTML5 button). I know how you feel about Adobe, that shit is not only unsafe, but unreliable as fuck and will constantly make your browser crash. The positives outweigh the negatives for HTML5 though, as I said, every YT video I click loads in my preferred size and resolution, when I fast forward or backwards to a part it doesn't restart the loading process to that point and my crashes have been significantly reduced.

Fuck you, YouTube. The fact that your situation is so widespread for users is what makes the situation so ridiculously frustrating for everyone who isn't a giant corporation or on the Top #100 billboards of bullshit. Content creators built Youtube's back and now Google's fucking all of them over. I don't make content myself, but even from a viewer/listener perspective it's frustrating because when you have a channel you like and want to support it becomes difficult as Youtube screws them to the point that their work could become untenable. As it is it's frustrating to see people actually defend GoogleTube because "people shouldn't get paid to do Youtube." Yeah, Justin Bieber should have been cyber stalked and told to slit his wrists instead of getting a career and there are those who are useless pieces of shit, but legitimate content creators are no different than TV. Should those involved with TV just entertain like monkeys on a corporate chain for free? People go under those larger channels for a reason as well, and part of that is just the same. People can and should be able to make money off of Youtube just like any other service or product and especially because Youtube is the one in the end making out. I was listening to one guy who was talking about just trying to get his name changed after the Google+ integration he had to file it in... then they wanted more info. More info, as in banking statements and all this insane shit just for a name change. So it's no wonder this content ID apocalypse really is apocalyptic; Or Google could innovate in the fucking-up department and actually drive people away out of desperation ha ha! The biggest obstacle in a mass Youtube exodus is that Youtube is willing to suck corporate you-know-what, hence the string of problems arising for, surprise surprise, regular users and not Lady Gaga or [insert whoreface]. Perhaps a part of the puzzle IS Myspace: what if Youtube was reduced to how Myspace is mainly music channels and samples because it's no loss to have it there for advertising as it slowly fades away from the collective world's memory (except in, I dunno, probably foreign countries where they're just getting into Footloose or something). One advantage of not becoming too high tier is that perhaps it would help keep the copyright regulation less draconian. Youtube was in a position with this content ID bollocks where they should have levied more power against the corporations (oh wait, they're one too and "don't be evil" is a front for dickery). Youtube should not collect the data; they should provide an avenue for these outside parties to do their own investigative work and send out their own complaints and have to put up with the same processes everyone else does. They find something. Fine. Go to the back of the line like everyone else has to and see what several months actual look like on a calendar if you're overly litigious and set out on some insane power trip trying to sue everyone for blinking at your content wrong. That might make them think more carefully on whether or not something is a legitimate violation or just another Let's Play. Just in general it would be great to see a new site that, y'know, doesn't act like the internet's equivalent to Soviet Russia? For all of Google's net neutrality babble, they sure seem to use every instance of their services to prove otherwise. It's a shame that sites like Blip are so "exclusive" and pricky, although to be fair there needs to be some limitations set for complete amateurs who wasting bandwidth only to prove they themselves are a waste of oxygen. With Spill's closure, I've been looking more at Youtube and all of this content ID insanity has me really feel for those who are deserving of something better on Youtube. I can't imagine enough people will be able to seek out the means to navigate past the new restrictions to make their work tenable in the long term when you consider how many people are impacted, so let's just hope that something good rises up because if you've ever seen one of Google's productsupportforum.com/whatevertheshit, then you are probably familiar with what pompous douchebags they really are to people with legitimate problems with Google products. The positives outweigh the negatives for HTML5 though, as I said, every YT video I click loads in my preferred size and resolution, when I fast forward or backwards to a part it doesn't restart the loading process to that point and my crashes have been significantly reduced. Hey, sounds good to me! I can't bloody stand Adobe Flash player anymore and it's pathetic how often my browser crashes from it (Memory breakpoint or something of the likes) because it just takes and takes from the system. Hopefully the tweak to make memory cache with the Ram instead of system will allow it to be more flexible and not hit some hard cap where it becomes unstable. A few incompatiblities are more acceptable than the thousands of Mozilla threads where some twat says the same ol' "Try restarting in Safe Mode [so we don't have to get off our lazy asses and either ditch Flash or actually program for it]" Also, mega bonus points for it being "No Restart" because that is something that Firefox needs to make an across-all-addons feature. Chrome can do it, and that browser is nuts; can't even add a new tool bar and stopping every tab from eating up processes is unheard of to the imbeciles ha ha! I also have to say that because of my audio situation, my 2014 Pet-Hate is audio podcasts and their goddamn "jingles" before the show. First, and this is just a general complaint I always noticed, why in the hell do they have to talk *really really quiet* but blast the ever-loving hell out of their generic beats and bloops? It's not like they're catchy or even all that well done to be fair, so why the emphasis? It's like TV commercials playing louder than the TV channel's actual programming.

Has anyone noticed that in the opening of Attack on Titan, the Titan they kill looks remarkably like Chris Griffin?

The animation is really good for a children's show.
