We have game night every now and then, so I was thinking we could try doing a movie night. I've livestreamed stuff for people here before, so maybe we could give it another go sometime. It'd be a bit more inclusive than something like playing games, and a lot easier and less time consuming to plan/get prepared for.
Would any of you guys still lurking around here be interested in something like? Any recommendations on what we could watch?

Digimon
On a serious note though, I'm down for whatever as long as we do it on a saturday, my movie watching history isn't large so almost everything anyone suggests I'll be fine with.

I watch a bit of films in the IFC but I'm always up for another movie night to waste my life with. Count me in! Saturdays are fine for me, too, and I'll be down for watching Spider-mans.

Count me in... in spirit, I guess? My scheduling as of late has been shit for fitting things in, movies especially. The only suggestions I can really give are to check out netflix (or if enough people have it, Amazon Prime) for a few recent movies that would be worth watching only to make fun of (because most new release movies seem to be rather shit these days, especially on Netflix) or some genuinely good movies (probably a bit older ha ha) that Netflix was smart enough to actually throw money at instead of the latest pop culture abortion. For example, just earlier I saw Machete Kills is on Netflix... I have no bloody idea which category that one falls under, although I have the sneaking suspicion that it isn't the latter category. P.S. genuinely curious: Has Korey mentioned plans of doing any sort of livestreaming/movie night thing like this because in spite of the lingering amount of folks here, that's still a fucking brilliant idea for community-building so I give proper respects to you, George. But who am I kidding; judging by kickstarter updates, Detroit Will Get A Robocop Statue An Actual Robocop before Koreycoleman.com (or whatever it is) becomes: Sponsored by Big Brother: Korey Coleman Convention Fan-House EditionI'm telling you: That's what all that "camera equipment" cost is going into: a reality show to capitalize on drunken shenanigans and possibly even the Facebook drama queens I've heard more than enough about to avoid like the crotch-rot circus the most insufferable participants made themselves out to be. Maybe in a few weeks we'll see that live-streaming ha ha! Back OT: Suggestions, suggestions... there are also TV series to consider; it might be more manageable for some because they're shorter and again, going back to Amazon Prime, there are now some HBO titles available on that platform. (Plus if you're a college student you DO get a discount on Prime at least) Personally, I've been more interested in the shows available over most of the movies available, let alone even many coming out, because generally I don't enjoy sitting through a movie re-watch, including those I love, and far too many new ones are lackluster to say the least. I'd be interested to hear what others suggest for your [possible] viewing because I've run out of movie ideas myself.

Alright, sounds like we can get something going either this weekend or the next. I'll hit the the good ole 'bay and download some stuff. I'll put together a couple of playlists and set up some themed programming that we can choose from in the meantime. Leaning towards movies that are either really good, so horrible they're good, or stuff that's good but not really well known. Haven't really decided yet, maybe a mix of all three. Either way, I plan to split them up into genres or categories that we can revisit once a month or something and people can pick or choose which ones to attend. Action night, horror night, scifi night, animation night, foreign night, etc. I'll post another update soon. Feel free to post any more suggestions and I'll be sure to check 'em out. P.S. genuinely curious: Has Korey mentioned plans of doing any sort of livestreaming/movie night thing like this Probably not, because while it isn't really illegal it is sort of a sketchy grey area when a professional site does it.

Oh, boy. If you're going to have themed nights, have I got suggestions for you. Especially foreign and "crap" nights.

Did a livestream test run with my friends over the weekend and everything went quite smoothly.
We should be all set to go when I eventually get my act together.
