I thought it was amazing. But many, upon man, upon many disagree with me. What are your thoughts on it?

I thought it was just passable. The rampant destruction and collateral damage made it hard for me to like the version of Superman they put on screen, when it seems like his concern for the citizenry is secondary.

Frankly, I think it's awful, insultingly stupid, and has no real understanding of the characteristics of Superman.

I came out of it thinking it was okay, even pretty good, but when I started talking about it afterwards, I found myself getting angrier and angrier at it. I just kept finding problems with the script and direction of it. I liked the actors, I thought Henry Cavill was fine, Russell Crowe was good, but they didn't have very good things to work with.
Also, one thing that really bugged me about it that no one seemed to talk about was the lack of color. When I think of Superman, I think of bright blue, red, and yellow. I think of sweeping visuals with stunning color and great effects. But this whole thing was grayed out, it looked so bland and dull. It's fine for Batman, because he's supposed to be dark and in the shadows. But Superman needs to be big and bright, the light of hope in the darkness! But "gray" has become synonymous with "realistic", which is crap, and now no one likes colors anymore, I guess, so this had to fit in.

now no one likes colors anymore, I guess, so this had to fit in. Oh no why you're saying that. In the other church, you know Marvel, you'll find plenty, all of them colors of the rainbow. Join in!

When I first saw it I thought it was ok, but then the more and more I thought about it the shittier it became. At least they called in a better writer to rewrite the script for BVS.

The collateral damage made me laugh out loud. Towards the end of the final battle I looked over at my friend and said "somebody call Batman so he can come save these people from Superman and this guy he's fighting". Other than that it was subpar. I am still looking forward to the sequel though.

If They're Adding More People Into The Sequel I'm Expecting More Collateral Damage Worldwide..Might Fuck Around And Destroy Gotham,Metropolis And Themyscira Since Wonder Woman Is Swooping In. But For Me I Can Call It A Superman Movie Without Him Actually Being Superman Which Of Course Takes Out The General Point. So It Was Just An 2 Hour And Some Change Episode Of Smallville. Like The Whole Point Of Him Donning The Suit Is Because He Was Trying To Figure Out Who He Was And It Took Him The Entirety Of The Film To Find Out The Who,What,When,Where,How And Why. Oh And For The Sequence Of His Father's Death (Spoiler) I Think They Were Trying To Say He Looked Almost 30 Since High School

It was mostly forgettable, the action was repetitive not to mention the whole "collateral damage" issue. There were some good moments, but I'm not in a rush to see it again.

I am one of those that think it was awesome too. I was never a big DC fan to begin with,..so it was easy for me to leave everything I knew about him at the door and go in fresh. The gripes that I did have could of easily been applied to the Avengers movie too,..just general pet peeves.

It's flawed as fuck, but for me there is soo much to love about this film that it's one of my favourite films of this year. I do get why some people don't like it.
