I also watched the latest series of Sherlock. I liked it overall, just plain loved it at points here and there (the meat dagger). The Watson-Holmes stuff remains the core of the series and it pays off handsomely even if the one-off villains like Charles Augustus Magnussen or the Terrorists do not pay off in ways that're Holmes-ian. If anything, this latest series made me analyze the villain of the first 2 series, Moriarty, in a whole new light. While menacing, he was not Moriarty; he only shares the characteristics of being a Holmes nemesis who's just as smart. He's the Joker in disguise as an internet troll disguised as Moriarty, another victim of this strange thing of making your villains copies of The Joker from The Dark Knight (Silva in Skyfall being another notable example of this). This series needs better villains, and at least the next series shows some promise.

After watching R.E.D. 2 and getting a massive boner at Mary Louise Parker much to my surprise I forgot she was the star of Weeds, so went on a binge and digested the first 3 series in quick time. Wasn't to disappointed it's humerous in places but she does flounce around in very high thighed summer dresses and strips to her scants a lot so it gets a huge thumbs up from me. If I'm tired and just want something to mong to this'll come in handy (especially if I crack one off that'll help me relax )

Justified Season 2 Episode 9- Better Than Sex! Can't believe it took me this long to get around to Justified, best show on TV now with Breaking Bad over.

Finally got around to watching Cosmos with Neil Degrasse-Tyson and it's okay; not spectacular, but not bad. It just seems like any other space-centric science show, unfortunately. Tyson's personality doesn't come through as it should, I think, and it just feels like he's reading from a script.
There's a, not an indifference, but an impersonal quality to the show that makes it not feel like something that should follow the original Cosmos.
Oh, right...Rating. Uhm, catch it when it comes on tv so I have someone to bitch about it with.

the new episode of Walking Dead was fuckin ace. I like TV that makes me say 'holy fuck' at the screen. Mucho tenseness. When this season is over game of Thrones is back. Yay.
Have True Detective on the way to keep me going, it better be what its cracked up to be.

True Detective watched, crap name, ace TV. Episode 4 being a highlight ending with some Nic Cave, magic. Acting, script, cinematography all top notch, highly recommended.
next up is Game of Thrones season 3 recap, one week left in Thailand and I cannot be fucked to go find work so watching crap on the porch complaining about the heat seems to be the way to go...

Got around to watching the first season of Attack on Titan yesterday, and though there isn't enough time to air my grievances with the show, I will say this: the show is incredibly fucking stupid, despite starting with a decent premise, and is bogged down with continuous character and structural failures; both conceptual and narratively. That said, there are really cool moments in the show, particularly when people stop continuously moping and realise that they can kill these Titan-things fairly easy if they pulled their heads from out their asses. It's also funny to note how a few (and, coincidentally, the best) characters realise this and will stop the other inept cunts, mid-weeping, to let them know what's what.
All that said, I can't help be interested in what a second series would bring. No doubt, more stupidity and bullshit; but I can't decide whether I hate loving the show or that I love hating the show.
The show gets 3 people getting eaten by 5 oversized, chubby nudists who've been exposed to Smylex gas.

After a shaky start imho, the new Utopia is off and running (tuesdays, Channel 4 UK). If you don't know this, check out the 1st series on which ever "catchup" service you use, or just buy it. GOT is no longer any fun after reading the books, TD still sitting there...so opinion soon come.
