My last big break the other day was looking into this: www.darkcreations.org/forums/topic/3752-skse-cleans-invalid-scripts-from-old-mods/I'm still a bit iffy because I want to make sure that this fix would cover removing a script mod and continuing (I have the latest SKSE), but if it's not those two mods it seems to be just a random fluke; e.g. some lantern handler issue or my guess a fluke ugrid loading deal. Speaking of which, do you know about this: www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/41592/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D41592%26preview%3D&pUp=1Just curious, do you think it should be fine to just throw into my data/skse/plugins folder if it's just a .dll file? I would assume so, but I'd appreciate a second opinion on that one as well. I'm running a reproccer, bash patch, and merged list so I honestly want to avoid undoing then redoing things if I can until I'm pretty certain it won't cause a mess later. As for Skyrim itself, I gotta add that this game reminds me why I fell in love with Morrowind: It awakens the inner clepto in you without fail. I'm playing a morally ambiguous Orc warrior... and I had to join the thieves guild just so I could access a fence to pawn off all the Honningbrew mead I ganked ha ha! But if you want any advice on newly released mods (which is nonstop!) I did quite a bit of research, hence the massive mod amount, so feel free to ask. Just recently Dawn of Riften was released, which along with the other two Dawn of city mods (Windhelm and Whiterun), is positively brilliant. It feels completely natural but makes a city like Whiterun seem so real. The game itself is just gorgeous and I can't help but stare at how amazing it looks. I know Skyrim Redone has been getting tons of positive word of mouth lately, but I went with SPERG (+Deadly Combat and a few Skyrim Redone Optional Plugins like Races and the Leveled world for a better challenge) so the game is a bit more like vanilla but expanded. Best of all though is the risk/reward factor that makes it such a challenging experience that pays off so well in how you feel. I set the community uncapper ini tweak to be pretty high, and believe me, with my setup I'll need it with the challenges ahead, but overall I can't complain because crashes and all I feel that I created my own customized Skyrim experience that I fell in love with. I'll admit it was a ton of work to research the mods, but I highly recommend anyone who wants to even get back into Skyrim do so because a lot has changed, mods have gone unsupported *cough Warzones* and so far - holy shit, is that a bear wearing armor and drinking mead in Riften? That I can recruit?!? Okay, Skyrim, You got me. You bloody got my heart. I don't know about that particular mod, but as for throwing it in there, it depends. Does it overwrite/change/modify/delete something? I think you'll be fine if it just deletes. If it's just a .dll file I don't think it could cause any harm, but don't quote me on that, I'm not too familiar with Skyrim's mods, yet. I'm more used to how mods were handled in Oblivion/FO3/NV. Thanks for the advice offer and suggestions, though right now I want to do a mostly vanilla run. Yeah, I know vanilla sucks, but I want to get a feel of the game so I can modify things to my taste later on. I dabbled into adding a few mods, pretty simple stuff, a backpack mod, a change quiver position, change quiver models for all arrows, race mod and the smaller, more PCfriendly UI. Just nitpicky stuff. What really bothered me right now was the dragon though, at least the one I just fought. Aren't these fights supposed to be lethal? One dragon took out a whole fucking town and I was able to bring this one down with 4 guards and a bow? Fuck this casual shit. Actually, after looking more cloosely at the Stable UgridsToLoad mod, I think you'll be completely fine. If my knowledge is still correct, then the mod just changes an .ini line, should be harmless to anything else.

Actually, after looking more cloosely at the Stable UgridsToLoad mod, I think you'll be completely fine. If my knowledge is still correct, then the mod just changes an .ini line, should be harmless to anything else. I just installed this and it helped tremendously - no issues. There was a video on the particular matter so it's very easy: Skyrim Memory Patch www.youtube.com/watch?v=37xAMUQc1oY&html5=1&hd=1And I understand the vanilla thing, and if you're ever looking for something close but a bit expanded so far I'm very pleased with SPERG as I progress. I tweaked its community mod uncapper ini a bit to suit my interests and messed with the mod manager a little to tweak things, but so far I love it. As for the CTDs, they're still they're but far less often and I think it's related to loading lots of things (especially if I've been in an area for a while where bodies pile up), however I think I've nailed it: If it isn't just a random fluke in the logs, then it's likely Crimson Tide (a blood mod). If it starts to worsen, I'm debating uninstalling it, installing enhanced blood effects (another blood mod) and then rebuilding my merged patch, bashed patch, and reproccer patches to see if it fixes things. The reason for the uninstall/install thing is because Crimson tide's removal could cause problems because of scripts, but EBE also has scripts on the same things (blood), so theoretically it would just carry over the scripts even though Crimson would be gone. I just did a similar process today to move "Daedric Dawnbreaker" to the bottom of my list because it wasn't working for some odd reason. Basically (on the version I picked) it helps make it more anti-undead, gives the sword a light effect like a torch because it glows anyway in vanilla, and just sounds like an awesome vampire killer addition. But if you want harder dragons, I have to recommend Deadly Dragons and/or Dragon Combat Overhaul, as well as this www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/20889/?holy shit - dragons will beat the every loving hell out of you and the town guard if you go rushing in like a buffoon.

I'll keep that in mind then. I'm not that many hours in so the vanilla gameplay hasn't bothered me that much, yet. As for the blood mods, are you sure it's not just the load order? Something has to be conflicting with the blood textures rather than the script.
Speaking of, do you know if there's something that does the opposite Daedric Dawnbreaker? I always hated the glow on enchanted items in Oblivion and I have no reason to doubt it'll be the same with Skyrim.
Before I take the next step and install the dragon mods, do the dragon's get any harder in vanilla as you progress? If not and the pathetic difficulty level remains then I'm installing.

Well, after playing the Titanfall beta for a few hours now I must say: Smartpistol fucking sucks. Bots are nothing more than braindead bulletsponges to build up your titan time. Game looks pretty dull. I'm having fun. I'm impressed honestly, I can understand the design decision towards having bots (they're not there to act like other players), but I still dislike the 6 player limit. I get it, too much titans would make it a cluster fuck, but you could've easily fixed this by having bigger maps. Overall gameplay is really smooth, fast and fun though, I am actually considering buying this now. Still, I think the game could improve massively if they added a 8-10 player limit with bigger maps (maybe it'll come as DLC considering this is EA). PS. Apparently I'm good at videogaems: 1vs1mefagits

Re: Dragon difficulty = *Shoulder shrug* I never played vanilla; I did a ton of research on modding Skyrim, picked carefully because I've already played Oblivion vanilla so much that I pretty much knew what I was looking for, and went for it. So far it's been 111% Incredible and I've never been happier! I personally used bellyaches + Deadly dragons and that's all, and believe me: Dragons are now serious motherfuckin' business. They are hardass bastards so I actually encourage the use of mods like extra dragon loot and the ability to convert dragon souls into perk points and other things as you continue. Once you kill a dragon by yourself, you fucking EARNED everything (which still is not much, to be clear). Fus roh-Fuck you, dragon! ha ha! Back to the blood thing, it's not always that; sometimes I just know it's too much being loaded/random crashing from Warzones, which sadly I'd be fucked to remove. HOWEVER! There is a console command that, like I mentioned (I think, didn't I?) That basically is a "test" console command that turns off all the battles. I might just do that because they're simply too much going on (loading vs cleaning up not being quick enough + TONS of NPCs at once), and that crashes it. But it seems to mostly be after I've been playing a looong time and gone to several different cells because it's still adding into that RAM issue, I figure. It's gotten a lot better though overall and I'm pleased as punch! I give it 10 out of 10 cookies to put down... or in skyrim terms, 10 out of 10 sweet rolls someone stole. Re: Titanfall - It's not my cup of tea or even in my sights to care, but like Peggle: At least it's a bloody game and not a scavenger hunt in some dysfunctional hipster scavenger hunt with quick time events and a small, minority orphan girl. Oh, and at least it ain't indie/retro/roguelike/good grief let's beat a dead horse with a time machine. Although in all seriousness I do want to clarify a point and view of mine: Much of criticism with the whole AI thing in TF is the simple fact that you are paying for Xbox fucking Live to play... bots? Obvious PC is better point to be made, but no! I'm sticking to that: You are PAYING for an online service to play some damn bots? Honestly, the only "on the other hand" I've got is that knowing the average Xbox Live player, I'd pay to play an AI package over 95% of the twats on XBL, anyway, but still... I almost wonder if that's why call of Duty zombies was a hit. "Just, y'know, fuckit - go fight these Nazi zombie AIs because fucking NAZI ZOMBIES are better sports than most people who play our game..." It's like TES: Online - you're buying an Elder Scrolls game... to play with OTHER people? Do you play tag alone, or something???

Started playing through Lords of Shadow 2 and having a pretty good time so far. The game looks absolutely stunning at max settings. If I didn't know any better, I'd say many of the critics who reviewed it are retarded. Sure the game isn't "Citizen Kane" or anything, but it's a solid, fun hack and slash and exactly what you'd expect from a Lords of Shadow sequel. (Note that the stealth portions are like five-ten minutes each, hardly frustrating, and few and far between so far.)

Playing Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. Games like these are what justify buying a Wii U.

Playing Thief. Now that's what Dishonored should have been like.

Tales of Symphonia Chronicles is a pretty decent remastering. It's only real flaw is reminding me that Dawn of the New World exists. That, and it's a port of the inferior PS2 port but I can forgive that even if it was lazy on Bamco's part.
Sheena is still best girl.

Been playing Thief and Shadowrun Returns: Dragonfall. Really enjoying both. Thief is what Dishonor should have been, and Dragonfall feels closer to what I remember for pen-and-paper Shadowrun.

Just finished Stick of Truth. It's incredibly short, and, while I had fun, I feel like, if you aren't already a fan of South Park, you won't necessarily get as much enjoyment out of the game as somebody who enjoys the show.

I feel like, if you aren't already a fan of South Park, you won't necessarily get as much enjoyment out of the game as somebody who enjoys the show. Wasn't that the point? I haven't finished it yet, but I'm pretty sure that was meant to be the main draw of the game. It's like playing through an episode of the show. The amount of references crammed in there is mind boggling.

I enjoy the show, but only casually, so I feel like a lot of the stuff was just lost o me. Without the references, all it is is a competently made JRPG.

I finally get my hands on Payday 2, after waiting this time out until it was for sale on Steam, and I can't fucking run it. Nothing will fix the 1 second delay in my movement.
Godammit. There goes 30 bucks down the toilet.
